Bed & Divans
Comfortable sleeping while you are flying from one side to the other side of the earth is a dream of most of the people traveling with aircrafts. We can make the dream comes true.
Aersolution designed, developed, certified and produced various bed and bed kinematic solutions. From a fixed bed with electrical adjustable backrest, to versions with adjustable back and leg rest towards to solutions with included 3° pitch compensation.
We also offer very specialized and unique bed solutions (i.e. Intensive Care bed, patient beds) and extendable / convertible divans.
All Aersolution electrical operated bed systems are characterized by a very high safety standard and of course meet the requirements of RTCA DO160 regulations.
VIP electrical Bed Kinematic
The Aersolution electrical actuated VIP Bed Kinematic has a modular build up. We can provide beds with adjustable backrest only, beds with adjustable backrest and leg rest and / or combined with 3° inflight pitch compensation for a full flat sleeping experience.
During the development, we maximized the stability of the bed panels by minimizing the space required by the bed sub-structure at the same time.
Special designed carbon bed panels are the key for the required stiffness attaching the actuation of the bed kinematic in the centerline of the bed panels. This allows more or less every shape of the bed panels by providing full functionality. May you require a circular bed shape? No problem for us.
With this design it was also possible to concentrate the bed sub structure to the center and results in a slim and low profile sub-structure including the bed kinematic elements. This wise versa opens up the possibility to the outfitter to use the remaining space for storage drawers and compartments.
The beds are controllable via handheld, in built rocker type switches and / or over cabin switch panels.
The integrated programmable motor controller offers the possibility of predefined speed settings and overload protection for highest user safety, comfort and system reliability.
Tool less manual override assures that the bed panel be lowerable at any time under any circumstances to the required full flat TTOL position.
24-28 VDC power input by a maximum power consumption of 7.5 Amp follows the Aersolution philosophy for electrical powered interior components. The Bed kinematics also complies with RTCA DO160 Section 4, 7, 8, 16, 17, 21
Two Place convertible Divan-Bed
The Aersolution Two Place Convertible Divan Bed is a divan system with the capability to be converted in a full size high comfort single place bed.
Space constraints within the cabin that all of the required cushions used for the bed configurations need to be stowed within the Diva, the requirement that one person easily can deploy the divan to a bed and wise versa and high VIP finishing where the demanding customer requirement
Aersolution developed, manufactured and tested this manually operated divan with several unique features. To grant enough stowage capability, Aersolution introduced a telescopic drawer system which assures the required length of the bed by a minimum use of space. While deploying the Divan to bed position, an automated HI-LO bed support mechanism will be lowered to provide additional support of the bed once it is fully deployed and engaged.
All these features be activated by a single one hand operation realized by the integrated mechanical linked release mechanism.
The backrest panels with the cushions finally are part of the bed mattress. These panels can be manually lowered by running over the telescopic extensions. Finally a foldable cushion stowed in the stowage compartment of the divan closes the last gap of the mattress and the bed is ready for a relaxing sleep.
VIP Medical Bed
The intention of this amazing project was, to have a standard hospital intensive care medical bed in an aircraft certified for TTOL.
The starting point was the selection of the most sophisticated intensive care bed, the analysis of the selected bed system and the reinforcement design work. Parallel to this, Aersolution starts the investigation on how the inbuilt electronic and hydraulic system can pass the FAA FAR 25 certification requirements.
Together with the FAA DER’s we developed the plan of the various required modifications, showing the mechanical improvements, the qualification of the OEM electronic system, the hydraulic system including the exchange and qualification of a suitable hydraulic fluid which does not reduce the reliability of the original systems as well the proof of meeting the flammability requirements of installed parts.
Finally we meet the target and show compliance to the regulation after several iterations, qualifications, testing and deep modification of the bed structure.
This is an example of our capability to make things happen which sometimes seems to be impossible.
